“Hello, Ash, this is Erika. I haven’t been able to get hold of Willow, and I’m starting to worry.”

“Erie, we have a problem. Willow has disappeared. She has taken Ruby and left. Those fucking ex-in-laws of hers are after her again. They are coming from Spain. I told Willow about it and told her to go to the safe house. Instead, she left. I guess she has been planning this for years. In case they come after her. I just got back into the country last week, and I have no idea where she is. Kane said she has been gathering information for four years. She has cash, and she has a place to live. I don’t have any idea where she is. No one does.”

“She must have forgotten I sold my house and quit my job, so I could move to where she lived. Why do those people want to kill her? She has never done anything to them. I’ll see you tomorrow. I’m going to work at the hospital there. I wish we could talk some sense into those people. I’m tired of hearing that they want to kill my sister. Bastards, they make me sick.”

“Erie, you can stay at the safe house. After all, you are Willow’s identical twin. I wouldn’t want them to grab you, thinking you’re Willow.”

“The difference between us is I can defend myself, and I also carry a gun with me since I was sixteen. After taking our sister, my parents put us in self-defense classes two days a week when we each turned three. We are each crack shots. The shooting lessons started at the age of five.”

“I’m sorry you and your siblings had to go through that. Will you please still stay at the safe house for me? I’m so worried about Willow. I don’t want to worry about you being killed. The mafia doesn’t care how they kill you. If they see you and you look like Willow, they’ll shoot you on sight.”

“I’ll stay there for now. But I have a home in escrow. When it’s ready for me to move into, I’m moving into it.”

“Call me when you get to town.”

“I’m driving, so I’ll just head over to the safe house if you give me the address.”

Ash gave her the address and hung up the phone. The last thing he needed was for Willow’s twin to show up right now. He packed a few things and headed over to the safe house.

He went to Austin’s office, and Austin looked up at him. “Erie is going to stay here for a while. She is Willow’s twin sister. She sold her home and is moving here. Willow must have forgotten she was coming because they are identical. The Sanchez’s will think she is Willow.”

“Isn’t she a doctor? Did she quit her job? Why is she moving here?”

“Yes, she quit her job. She wants to live near Willow. Erie starts at the hospital here in a few weeks. She also bought herself a house.
